ACF Theatre 1 and Theatre 2 Students present the classic Broadway Comedy, MY SISTER EILEEN

The ACF Theatre 1 and Theatre 2 Students present Ruth McKenney's classic Broadway Comedy, MY SISTER EILEEN, by Jerome Chodorov and Joseph Fields, on May 24-26 at 6:30 PM in the Flora Theater. Based on McKenney's true story, our play follows sisters Ruth and Eileen as they move to Greenwich Village in 1935 to find fame and fortune as a writer and actress, respectively. Instead, what they find is hilarity and calamity as they encounter a plethora of zany neighbors, suitors, and personalities. In addition to being adapted to a Broadway Smash Hit. starring Shirley Booth, that ran for 864 performances in 1940, McKenney's story was adapted into an Academy Award Nominated Film in 1942 that starred Rosalind Russell, Janet Blair, and Brian Aherne; a Tony Award Winning Broadway Musical in 1950, again starring Russell, with Edie Adams and George Gaynes; a separate musical film in 1955, starring Betty Garrett, Janet Leigh, and Jack Lemmon; a TV Series in 1960 that starred Elaine Stritch; and finally a Tony Award Nominated Musical Revival in 2003, starring Donna Murphy and Jennifer Westfeldt. Don't miss this hilarious comedy that stars 24 Theatre 2 Students and 42 Theatre 1 Students in 3 casts!
