We know that this fast and ever-changing school year can be confusing and, at times, frustrating, so we hope to make recent developments as clear as possible for our Falcon community. As it relates to that, we want to share our plan for students who are opting-out of wearing a mask to school. Here is how this will work:
1) Students who have their mask waiver form completed properly should turn it in to Ms. Pace in our Guidance Office. They should NOT go to the Main Office. Students should turn in their properly completed waiver form by 8:00 am so that we can ensure they are accurately designated for the remainder of the year. We are accepting mask waiver forms now.
2) Students who do not have a mask waiver form on file are required to properly wear their mask at all times. School staff will also continue to wear masks at this time.
3) Social distancing rules have not changed. This is important for overall safety, and we expect students to maintain the greatest amount of social distancing possible throughout the day. Please also be aware that desk shields are still in place and will continue to be used.
4) For the most up-to-date information, please be sure to read all communications from the district and monitor the district web site for more specific information. We will remain in touch with you if there are any updates or adjustments moving forward.
Finally, we also want to ensure that, while we know our Falcon Family will have many different opinions, thoughts, and emotions about these issues, we remain committed to providing ALL students with a safe and successful end to this challenging school year. Our goal is, and will always be, to provide your child with a first-class educational environment in which they can thrive and reach their potential. We appreciate your support, partnership, and understanding as we look forward to a positive end to the school year!
Thanks and Go Falcons!
